Category D

Vehicles, excluding trolleybuses, designed to carry passengers with more than 8 passenger seats excluding the driver; a trailer with maximum authorised mass not exceeding 750 kg may be attached. Articulated buses are included, but attaching a trailer to them is prohibited.

Requirements: at least 24 years old and Category C held for at least 2 years. Documents: ID card, copy of a certificate for at least basic education, driving licence and control coupon; psychological fitness certificate issued by the Road Transport Administration Executive Agency; traffic-police statement of offences.

Theory: carriage of passengers — 6 hours. Practical training: 16 hours. Exams: theory test and practical bus driving in an urban area.
